Who we are looking for

We are looking for highly motivated people who want to build and take real ownership.

We are a small team, so we rely on each other to notice what is missing, decide what matters, and move the product forward without waiting for a perfect specification.
01

Build

Turn unclear problems into useful products that make life better for a customer or the team.

02

Own

Stay with the work from the first question through release, feedback, and follow-up.

03

Do more with less

Keep solutions simple, reuse what already works, and spend effort where it will make the biggest difference.

04

Ask why

Question weak assumptions, challenge yourself, and improve the status quo with evidence and respect.

This role works best for people who look beyond the assigned ticket and take responsibility for the outcome. If you prefer work to begin and end with a task list, we may not be the right fit.

What you will work on

You will work across the product, with support from the team.

Satya serves customers, businesses, partner banks, and our own operations team. The work crosses product, data, security, and operations. We expect curiosity and ownership, and we also expect people to ask questions and work through hard parts together.

Day-to-day engineering

  • Build responsive, accessible product experiences with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Work on services for identity, workspaces, evidence, lending, collateral, risk, distribution, amendments, and offers.
  • Shape PostgreSQL models and create Prisma migrations that are safe and easy to review.
  • Keep authorization fail-closed across people, businesses, bank tenants, resources, and actions.
  • Build OCR-first flows where AI can suggest information and a person confirms it before we rely on it.
  • Connect the product to Mistral, Claude, Gemini, Grok, AWS, Cognito, SMS providers, Redis, and object storage.
  • Write the unit, integration, authorization, database, and browser tests that give us confidence to ship.
  • Follow problems across the browser, application, database, infrastructure, and third-party services when needed.
  • Help with releases, monitoring, incident response, recovery, and the documentation that keeps the team effective.

What you should bring

  • Solid software engineering fundamentals and comfort learning unfamiliar code.
  • Hands-on experience building web applications with TypeScript and React.
  • Some experience with backend development, APIs, and relational databases.
  • A practical understanding of validation, transactions, authorization, and automated testing.
  • Confidence using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or an equivalent tool.
  • A habit of investigating the cause of a problem before reaching for a fix.
  • Clear written communication and sound judgment while working remotely.

Helpful experience

  • Next.js App Router, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Playwright.
  • AWS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, and production observability.
  • Authentication, WebAuthn, passkeys, OAuth, Cognito, or multi-tenant authorization.
  • Fintech, lending, banking, identity, or another security-sensitive product.
  • PDF processing, OCR, or human-in-the-loop AI workflows.
  • Building MCP servers, RAG systems, agent tools, evaluation harnesses, or production AI workflows.
  • Accessible, responsive, or multilingual product development.

We care more about what you can build, how you think, and how you take ownership than your title or number of years in the industry.

How we use AI

Use AI to move faster. Keep your judgment in the loop.

We use Mistral, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and agentic engineering tools to investigate, build, test, and document software. They help us move faster, but the engineer is still responsible for checking the work and deciding what reaches production.

REQUIRED

Required

You should know how to use Claude Code, Codex, or a similar tool well. That includes giving useful context, breaking down work, reviewing changes, catching false assumptions, and checking the result.

BIG PLUS

Big plus

Experience building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, agent tooling, evaluation harnesses, or production AI workflows.

Open roles

Choose the schedule that fits.

The hours are different, but both roles work on the same product. We expect the same care, communication, and ownership from every engineer.

No roles are open right now.

The team is heads-down building. Check back for the next opportunity to join us.

How the week works

Remote, with startup hours.

Most of the time we plan our work and communicate directly. When a launch or production issue needs attention, we step in and help each other.
01

Remote

Work from where you perform best, with dependable overlap with Nepal time.

02

Responsive

Share progress, risks, and blockers early so the team can help.

03

Flexible

Some launches, deadlines, and incidents require evenings, weekends, or odd hours.

04

Accountable

Stay close to your work after it ships and learn from how it behaves in production.
